a day in stanley park

we had a long, tiring, fun day yesterday.
went to the aquarium,
saw spongebob in 4D (freaked the kids out entirely)
the water park,
(N is not fond of unpredictable cold water)
walked the seawall,
(gorgeous, as always)
went swimming at third beach,
(N LOVES to play in the waves. She is a swimmy fish like her mama.)
walked through the park,
(Tatlow trail. fresh air, big trees, huckleberry bushes... lovely)
back to the car,
(finally)
and came home.

it was really a great adventure. but, yes, and wow, having two kids with us means constant adjustments and tending to wants and needs. I was astounded throughout the day that we were actually doing this.

a day in stanley park. it was beautiful and sunny and refreshing and exhausting.
and my camera is on the fritz again. so all this happened and I have no pictures to show for it.
maddening! what a shame.

if I had money...
oh the things I would do.
first things first though, I would buy a new camera.
and not an effing Sony again. Sony, you suck. Sony, you make crappy cameras.

on the topic of money...
my hubby K has been telling me I have to get a job.
I haven't been to a birth as a doula since before F was born, last Fall.
I've just been absorbed in mamahood, being with my babies day in day out for so long.
I need some money.

it's a bummer being broke in the Summer.
I can think of so many cool road trips, camping trips, adventure holidays we could go on.
but we don't have the money.
on the sunny side of the situation: we live in a beautiful city.
and days like the one we had yesterday, of just walking around Stanley Park,
are pretty cheap. so that is nice. and that is what the rest of this Summer is likely to be filled with.
Yes, the staycation. we will be living it up locally, low income family style.

I love Vancouver!
(especially in the Summer)
